**About the Business Line** **Water**
We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design\-build\.
**Job Summary**
AECOM requires an Electrical Drafter/Designer to work on large and small Water and Wastewater projects out of our Markham, ON office\.
This position is responsible for:
·The Auto\-CAD / Revit / Microstation drafting in 2D and 3D and of Electrical drawings\.
·Basic design of Electrical systems which includes power distribution, lighting, and motor controls\.
·Preparation of the deliverables of electrical drawings for projects\.
·Co\-ordination with the drafting of other disciplines\.
·Assisting the Engineers in obtaining necessary information from other disciplines such as motor horsepower and heater kilowatts\.
·Assisting the Engineers for sizing cables and breakers, lighting layouts, and motor control requirements\.
·Performing drafting assignments on CAD; plan, sections, elevations, details, schematics, construction documents for review and approval\.
**Minimum Requirements**
The candidate should possess/be:
+ A certificate/degree from an accredited technical training school or community college of electrical design and drafting\.
+ Experience in multi\-disciplinary projects\.
+ Must be proficient in AutoCAD 2D,Micro Station V8 and Revit MEP \(and be prepared to demonstrate upon request\) \.
+ Knowledgeable in drawing compositions using External References and other advanced drafting techniques\.
+ Able to graphically translate verbal and visual instructions into working drawings\.
+ Able to coordinate with drawings from other trades\.
+ 5 Years of practical experience in a full AutoCAD/ Microstationand 2 years in Revit, office environment is desirable\.
+ Self\-motivated as well as a team player and can work with minimum supervision\.
+ Excellent comprehension of verbal and written English\.
·Familiarity with the Ontario Building Codeand the Ontario Electrical Safety Code is preferred\.
Must have knowledge of basic Electrical theory and prepared to do related calculations on request\.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience in Design/Build project execution\.
+ Familiarity with the water and wastewater industrial market segments\.
