We provide services such as program management, construction management and owner’s representation to our clients around the globe\. **Job Summary** The Infrastructure and Environment Division of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Project Engineer for on\-going projects at Fort Pickett, located outside Richmond, VA\. This position is well suited for a smart, self\-starter looking to develop their project management skills and learn from an experienced Project Manager\. The project is being constructed using the design\-bid\-build form of contract\. As a lead member of the construction management team, the incumbent serves as an owner’s representative on behalf of General Services Administration \(GSA\) and the end\-user Federal Agency\. The Project Engineer will support the Project Manager with the construction oversight including, but not limited to, the following: • Perform on\-site inspections of work in place and compare that work with the approved contract documents • Review contractor requests for information and expedite or recommend appropriate responses • Review submittals against contract requirements, expedite submittal process by reviewers • Review contractor costs proposals for compliance with contract requirements • Evaluate contractor requests for payment and recommend adjustments as appropriate • Prepare reports summarizing construction progress and status • Review and interpret the contractor’s progress schedule **Minimum Requirements** + Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field + Experience in construction administration, submittal processing, RFI management, quality assurance, daily report preparation and safety monitoring + Experience in construction projects involving the remediation of hazardous materials + Experience in the use of various software including Microsoft office products and other project management software + Ability to work in a fast paced field environment + Ability to work in field office, on the jobsite and perform tasks involving climbing, working at heights and in confined spaces + Ability to acquire a federal security clearance **Preferred Qualifications** + Ability to work in a fast paced field environment **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
