Minimum Requirements: Minimum Requirements:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management or other related field with 10 years of emergency response or emergency management experience or
• Master’s degree with eight years of emergency response or emergency management experience
• Practical experience and proven performance in planning, conducting, and evaluating drills and exercises
• Experience using Microsoft Office
• Must have good technical writing (including strong proofing/editing ability with skills to develop and analyze information for studies and reports) and oral communications skills and be comfortable communicating with all levels of NWP and DOE/CBFO management.
• Must possess interpersonal communication skills to effectively work with onsite/offsite agencies and organizations in a professional manner.
• Must possess the ability to work under minimal supervision and be a self-starter.
• Must be able to multi-task with numerous interruptions and changing priorities.
• Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be US Citizens
Preferred Requirements:
• Certified Emergency Manager
• Master's degree preferred.
• Previous WIPP experience

Position Description:
The successful candidate will plan, conduct, and evaluate drills and exercises at the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant and the NWP, LLC managed facilities. Develop Exercise Plans, After Action Reports, Evaluation Reports, Sim Cell Plans, Long-Range Exercise Schedules, and other exercise related procedures and supporting documents. Research and develop hazard assessment-based scenarios; determine and establish Exercise Planning Teams, to include coordination with various onsite and offsite agencies and organizations; develop site-specific evaluation criteria; and, submit required Exercise Plans and
After Action Reports to DOE/CBFO and DOE HQ according to established deadlines. Conduct controller/evaluator briefings and training. Serve as a member of the Emergency Response Organization during drills, exercises, and actual emergency events. Must be willing to be on-call. Other duties as directed by responsible manager.
