(CAN-AB-Calgary) Director, Supply Chain Management

Based in Calgary, AB, the Director, Supply Chain Management is responsible to lead the Supply Chain Function with responsibilities for procurement, subcontracts, contracting vendors, and materials management\. **Key responsibilities include:** + Directs the preparation, review and approval of source lists, bid analysis summaries, purchase orders and subcontracts + Develops and enhances procurement and materials management policies and procedures + Participates in the development of strategic and tactical plans + Negotiates contracts for capital and non\-capital products and services + Coach and mentor the SCM team to forecast, plan and execute processes + Conduct annual performance management for direct reports including training and career planning + Develop and manage a succession plan for the team + Establishes and partners with the organization to set clear goals and expectations + Supports company business development activities + Assumes responsibility and accountability for procurements and materials managements activities on the assigned project or organization + Develops and implements staffing plans to support proposal and project requirements + Directs the collection of market trends to identify and implement process improvements + Reduce costs, and increase utilization of resources + Builds productive relationships with other disciplines + Keeps management advised of significant procurement and materials management issues and potential problem areas + Interfaces with internal and external customers and vendors + Participates in ‘lessons learned’ processes and propose improvements to enhance future project success + Participates with management in the development of strategic and tactical plans + Demonstrates consistent, effective and efficient written and oral communications skills + Expresses ideas, exercises sound judgment and effectively listens + Develops processes to ensure efficient documentation + Develops and maintains an orderly and efficient approach to complete assignments + Applies attention to detail and maintains quality in work products + Exhibits confidence and holds a positive attitude about the projects and the company + Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills + Maximizes the use of company’s resources + Understands the roles, responsibilities, authority, and accountabilities of each team member + Effectively delegates + Supports and promotes a diverse work environment + Maintains positive working relationship with peer leaders \*\*Requisition ID:\*\* 25308
