Position Description:
Responsible for process control system performance and technical assurance for assigned areas and projects. Enable operations to efficiently and safely control operating units using the process control system tools and equipment including field instrumentation, Distributed Control System (DCS) hardware, Industrial Control System (ICS) support systems, Software/Coding and Configuration Management. Works with and utilizes the multiple work processes in support of Operations, and in accordance with Engineering standards (Manual E7).
Job Responsibilities:
• Oversee and coordinate the work of Control System Engineers, System Administrators, System Engineers, and various other key roles within the Control Systems Support and Simulation organization. Provide input for performance reviews, developing performance goals, and mentoring team members in their technical and development and goals
• Participate in staff meetings; providing feedback and data to the Manager about the team.
• Prepare monthly reports on Control System Metrics and other areas as needed.
• Provide system health and legacy system monitoring
• Develop team strategies to guard against segregation of duties and single point of failure violations
• Approve Computer Modification Trackers for activities for which they are a key resource
• Ensure control systems comply with applicable corporate, safety, and environmental standards
• Ensure process control strategy and standards are implemented consistently throughout the SRR
• Manage self-assessments for the organization
• Champions LEAN and Standard Work
• Look for and implement continuous improvement opportunities. Act as a change agent for the department and company
• End User support for key subcontracts within the organization
• Other duties as assigned
