Minimum Requirements: Must be able to perform all essential requirements listed in the job description and requirements for the job including: Using a high-pressure wash system washes and rinses the aircraft and / or components. Performs pre / post wash lubrication procedures. Installs and removes protective covers. Moves aircraft utilizing towing equipment of needed.
Must be familiar with normal operational safety requirements working on and around aircraft and flight line support equipment. Must be capable of comprehending written and oral instructions for the use of aircraft cleaning equipment. Extreme care required when washing aircraft and / or components to prevent unnecessary damage to painted surfaces. Must be able to meet any Government / Company licensing / qualification requirements.
Three(3)years actual and recent related experience in the field consistent with the requirements set forth in the contract/delivery order.
Ability to lift 50 lbs for an extended period of time. Have a valid driver’s license, be able to obtain a military drivers license and operate various aircraft equipment use for preventative maintenance.
MUST HAVE ACTIVE SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE.
Will be required to pass background security check and NAC-1.

Job Description: Perform aircraft wash and lubrication, assist mechanic to accomplish corrosion control; to include minor paint of assigned aircraft, Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE), and Special Purpose Vehicles. These duties may include the application of aircraft soaps to cleanse aircraft outer surfaces, identification of corrosion or paint defects, mechanical sanding of surface coatings, and/or minor application of exterior paints to aircraft. They may also assist aircraft mechanics.
Clean aircraft interior and exterior parts and assemblies with solvent or other cleaning solutions. Inflate tires, fills fuel tanks, and oil reservoirs, and lubricate vehicles using grease guns. Perform routine duties such as furnishing materials; tools and supplies. lifting and holding materials in place during maintenance operations; and cleaning work areas, machines, tools and equipment. Learns safe work practices on various contract units and components.

The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; and outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to risk of electrical shock and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of radiation. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
