Our global network of top\-tier specialists delivers comprehensive services over the full life cycle of a project to benefit clients in government and private industries\. **Job Summary** AECOM is seeking an enthusiastic Signal Specialist to join our team of over 300 railway specialists\. Working out of our Mississauga Commerce office, the assignment is mostly in the GTA, but future assignments might include remote or semi\-remote locations in Northern Ontario or sites in Eastern Ontario\. Reporting to the Signal Manager – Railway Construction the candidate will deliver railway infrastructure projects, Signal and Communications contracts with some track components\. The successful person will monitor the quality of work done by contractors and evaluate the progress of the project to determine if time schedules and contracts are being met\. The candidate will also monitor contractor safety programs to assess that client requirements are satisfied\. The successful person may also participate in the evaluation of contractors performance and will administer and direct works during the construction phase\. The role includes reviews with project designers and contractors to ensure that procedures are followed and that contractors are in compliance with project plans, contracts and specifications\. The successful person must also be capable of reviewing Signal Control Point test sheets, Signal Crossing test sheets, Downloads from Signal Crossings, Signal Plants, FAT Testing, Field Testing, Pico Testing, Signal Commissioning Testing, and also have the capability to create test sheets for the above mentioned areas\. They must also be very knowledgeable in all CN GI’s and SCP’S\. **Minimum Requirements** + Minimum five years’ experience + General computer skills and be familiar with MS Excel and Word + Previous signal railway experience and knowledge in the delivery of railway projects is required + Strong problem solving skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with co\-workers, supervisors, internal and external clients and contractors + Keen desire to learn new skills, excellent teamwork attitude, and the flexibility to quickly absorb new information and take on new and challenging assignments + Must be willing to work away from home for periods of up to two weeks, varying work cycles, and must work nights and weekends when required + Driver’s license and vehicle required **Preferred Qualifications** + Diploma/Degree from a College or University would be an asset + 5\+ years’ experience with a Canadian Railway in a signals field position + PMP or a CET would be an asset + Signal education is preferred but not required **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
