Our expertise in providing the full range of mission\-critical services is sought after by private\-sector and national/state\-owned oil and gas companies\. **Job Summary** The Design & Consulting Services Division of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented CADD Team Leader for immediate employment in the Austin, TX office\. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in design of new and retrofit systems for power and refinery industrial design\. The incumbent can look forward to projects deploying AECOM Process Technologies in Power Plants and Refineries\. The CADD Team Leader is responsible for coordination and supervision of the CADD resources for the Process Technologies office\. The team leader will function as the line manager for a multi\-discipline team of designers and drafters\. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: • Works effectively in team environment and collaborate with a multi\-discipline project team in the completion of assignments • Lead designers and drafters of all disciplines to coordinate their work activities • Verify CAD team produces deliverables to required quality • Plan own time and other resources to meet deadlines and budgets • Forecast workloads for all CADD disciplines • Estimate required effort hours and drawing count estimates in support of proposal development • Develop drawing count and effort hour estimates in support of proposal pursuits for new projects • Develop master sketches to scale showing relation of proposed installations to existing facilities and exact specifications and dimensions • Adopt appropriate drawing standards and protocols to suit project and client requirements • Delivery design work at a high level of detail, accuracy and standard under tight project deadlines • Understands project scope and ensures designs are consistent with project technical requirements and scope, and works to specifications and discipline\-associated instructions in accordance with established design practices, standards and procedures • Reviews completed drawings and cost estimates for accuracy and conformity to standards and regulations • Works well under pressure • Demonstrate a good understanding of the Design Process and Stage gate/FEED process through Construction • Demonstrate understanding of CAD operational processes and the ability to analyze and articulate the impact of proposed changes • Recognize and champion work process improvements for CADD team • Motivate and inspire continuous improvement ideas within theorganization **Minimum Requirements** + Associate's degree or completion of technical trade school courses, or equivalent experience + Minimum 12 years of design experience of industrial systems or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience + 10 years of experience using AutoCAD, 3 years using AutoCAD Plant 3D or similar 3D design software is required + Minimum 2 years of experience managing a staff of 5 or more designers with responsibilities including project staffing, work load management, development of personnel requisitions, human resource issue resolution, and man\-hour forecasting for job pursuits / future work is required + Demonstrates history of training and development of junior designer staff + Demonstrates good written and verbal communication skills **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience managing multi\-discipline designers \(piping, structural, electrical etc\) OR experience producing multi\-discipline drawings + Experience researching and coordinating software upgrades and hardware/software compatibility with IT staff + Experience with packaged system or plant design – particularly piping and structural components\. **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
