**Job Summary** AECOM Design Consulting Division is seeking experienced Industrial Hygienists \(IH\) for immediate employment in the San Diego area\. The appropriately qualified candidates will provide and manage comprehensive IH program support to Navy and Marine Corps commands/activities in the San Diego area, including Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton\.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
+ Conducting periodic IH surveys: identification, measurement, and assessment of workplace environmental stressors
+ Recommending effective control measures to eliminate hazardous exposures
+ Monitoring of potentially health\-hazardous stressors to ensure that control measures are effective and providing IH\- related support in matters of environmental health and pollution control
+ Under limited supervision, responsible for moderately complex technical work in a wide range of health, safety and environment \(HSE\) discipline to achieve compliance with health and safety standards along with federal and state regulatory requirements
+ Oversee/ conduct the evaluation of existing engineering controls and personal protective equipment to recommend solutions to minimize worker exposure at the shop level
+ Oversee/ conduct initial IH walk\-through surveys in industrial shop areas
+ Develop prioritized sampling and analysis plan based on observed health\-hazard stressors
+ Oversee/ conduct routine and non\-routine IH\-related sampling with requisite calibrated equipment for a variety of air contaminants
+ Oversee/ conduct noise and radiation monitoring
+ Write/ review reports summarizing the results of sampling activities
+ Contribute to the development of shop\-level training and/or sample results presentation
+ Oversee the completion of large, specialized, complex project or multiple projects
+ Provide subject matter expertise/ limited training to other URS employees and/or US Navy personnel
+ Supervise SMEs and IH Tech personnel executing developed IH sampling plans
+ Oversee/ conduct IAQ investigations
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Toxicology or Risk Assesment
+ Minimum eight years of professional experience with three years in professional services consulting
+ Certification in CIH, CSP, PE or CHP
+ Ability to provide a broad range of industrial hygiene and safety related services
+ Must be proficient with developing air monitoring programs, performing industrial hygiene surveys, developing and evaluating comprehensive health and safety plans
+ Working knowledge of state and federal regulations
+ Strong leadership skills, ability to develop and mentor staff, and build teams
+ Experience as an EH&S Services Consultant and/or auditor
+ Experience in working in a professional consulting services environment, marketing and networking with potential clients
+ Experience in evaluating client's needs, preparing detailed scope and cost proposals, participating in finalizing client contracts, managing and implementing such scoped and budgeted project
+ Current knowledge of all existing and proposed changes in environmental, health and safety regulations; supply chain management; and product stewardship requirements
+ Expert knowledge of specific government agency requirements, specifically Federal EPA, OSHA and EU Directives
+ Exceptional communication skills especially as pertains to client interactions and team management
+ Regarded as a highly technical and trusted expert in HSE/Industrial Hygiene/Product Stewardship
+ Ability to make independent judgment and discretion in data analysis and problem resolution
+ US Citizenship required along with the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Common Access Card \(CAC\)
