Formal classroom education equivalent to Navy “C” School or vocational school with formal training in the field of electronic equipment maintenance and equipment manufacturer training. Two years’ operating experience in/or related with military or civilian search, acquisition, ground control, height finding or fire control radar systems training. Four years’ experience in/or related to: Digital/analog signal processing Synchro-servo circuits Radar and radar theory Electromechanical devices Video signal processing and recording Communications (multiplexer equipment) Digital/analog computer systems DC power supplies Test equipment RF signal processing Antenna systems Low-voltage AC equipment Primary and secondary power equipment Portable AC generators  Ability to speak, read, and write English. Possess a valid state Driver’s License. Must maintain current CPR/First Aid certification. Must Possess and Maintain a Government Secret Clearance. Job Description: Performs systems maintenance and operations. Applies comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting manufacturer’s manuals or similar documents. As technician/operator, applies technical knowledge in troubleshooting, isolating malfunctions, repairing to the component level, and incorporating engineering changes. Work typically requires understanding of the interrelationships of analog, digital, mechanical, and RF operating system diagnostics and circuits. Makes circuit analyses, calculates waveforms, and traces relationships in signal flow. Uses complex test instruments such as pulse generators, spectrum analyzers, distortion analyzers, computer analytical equipment. Provides technical guidance and trains lower level technicians. Performs organizational, intermediate, and depot-level maintenance on assigned equipment. Performs system operation. Work may be reviewed by supervisor for compliance to accepted practices. Uses IEMS to meet contractual requirements. Documents maintenance actions in IEMS. Cross-trained and qualified to operate at least two additional EW systems. Other duties, as assigned, to meet contractual obligations.
