Come share your passion with us\. **About the Business Line**  **Government** AECOM’s Global Support Services \(GSS\) organization resides within AECOM’s Government business line and is comprised of three divisions — International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs\. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere\. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world\. GSS supports the U\.S\. Government, non\-U\.S\. Governments and industry clients with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support\. **Job Summary** AECOM has an outstanding opportunity to serve as a **Facility Architect** for the Fosters contract in Alice Springs, Australia as a member of the Site Design Office\. The selected candidate will lead new design efforts for building improvements and building expansion\. The selected candidate will direct architectural designers and coordinate designs with site engineers\. The candidate must also be flexible and able to adapt to rapidly changing project requirements and deadlines; develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems; works with minimal direction\. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions; diverse knowledge of architecture principles and practices; has responsibility over designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and working drawings, develops details and edits specifications; exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment; adapts and modifies design features and operational methods to meet a variety of situations; may oversee the work of less experienced architects and designers; adapts and modifies design features and operational methods to meet a variety of situations; develops technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity; must be a self\-leader without constant direction;Prepare design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports and cost estimates\. **Minimum Requirements** + Proficient in AutoCAD Release 12 with at least 10 years experience working with a variety of project sizes\. + TS/SCI with CI polygraph required\. + Experience in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel\. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills\. + Strong team collaboration and problem\-solving skills\. + Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively with all internal and external stakeholders\. + Bachelor's degree or equivalent\. **Preferred Qualifications** + Licensed as a registered architect in a state in the United States of America\. **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
