**About the Business Line** **Environment**
Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources\.
**Job Summary** AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented junior\-level Environmental Professional for immediate employment primarily to support environmental permitting and compliance projects for oil and gas development and pipeline projects\. Field work will include, but is not limited to: wetland and stream delineations and assessments, and threatened and endangered species surveys\. Permitting and compliance work will include Federal Energy Regulatory Commission \(FERC\) permitting, United States Army Corps of Engineers \(USACE\) wetland permitting, and National Environmental Policy Act \(NEPA\) documentation\.
Additional duties will include, but are not limited to: support for environmental restoration services including soil, soil vapor, sediment, surface water, and groundwater sampling, and coordination at various U\.S\. Department of Defense \(DOD\) and industrial project sites throughout the Southeastern US\. The selected candidate should be familiar with sampling methods for data collection and knowledgeable of analytical laboratory chain of custody processes, be self\-motivated, and able to follow through with assignments with minimal direction\.
The selected candidate will report to multiple, assigned task managers and work under the purview of Environmental Project and Program Managers The candidate’s home office will be Charleston, SC\. The selected candidate must be capable of understanding technical work requirements with minimal training, explanation and oversight\.

**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Biology, Geology or equivalent\.
+ Candidate must be able to provide proof of U\.S\. Citizenship or have immigration status and be able to pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background check to obtain U\.S\. Federal Government Credentials\.
+ The selected candidate must possess a valid driving license\.
+ Candidate must be able to meet the medical clearance requirements of an OSHA \(HAZWOPER\) medical surveillance physical examination and company drug screening\.
+ Selected candidate will be required to complete 40 hour HAZWOPER training and/or annual 8 hour refresher class, if needed\.
+ Selected Candidate will also receive First Aid/CPR training and AECOM specific training\.
+ Candidate must exhibit sense of professional responsibility and awareness of accepted standards of professional behavior\.
+ Candidate should have proficient technical writing skills and ability to effectively express his or herself orally in project reviews conducted among internal staff\.
+ Candidate must have strong analytical skills, be organized, be a team player, be a critical thinker, be a problem\-solver and be self\-motivated\.
+ Candidate must have a willingness to travel for extended periods up to several weeks\. Estimated office/field time: 25% / 75%\.
**Preferred Qualifications** Experience in biological field survey methods and plant identification are preferred\.
