**Job Summary** Aecom seeks to hire a Power Engineer for multiple projects in Abu Dhabi\.
Duties & Responsibilities:
+ Designing Primary and Secondary distribution substations including equipment layouts and specifications
+ Designing LV power systems, in order to power lighting systems and other systems connected all over the development, making sure voltage drop and power fluctuation are within tolerable limits
+ Designing MV power systems, in order to provide power for the LV systems, making sure power levels and fault currents are within tolerable limits\.
+ Providing home office support for site projects, including review of contractors material and shop drawing submissions,, RFI’s, etc and providing solutions for problems on site\.
+ Squads checking other teams design packages in order to avoid clashes and insuring that all services and utilities form a cohesive system\.
+ Liaising with the Local Authorities to acquire Design NOC’s \(Non Objection Certificates\) and Construction NOC’s\.
+ Prepare single line diagrams and detail drawings\. Prepare calculation sheets\.
+ Carrying out Power systems calculations, including load flow, short circuit, motor starting, cable capacity and voltage drop calculation\.
**Minimum Requirements** 4\-8 years of experience in the UAE
Strong experience in design and implementation of LV and MV power systems\.
Good report writing skills
Experience dealing with government authorities in the UAE
Street lighting and Master\-planning experience
Proficient in ETAP
**Preferred Qualifications** A Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
