**Job Summary** AECOM seeks a Senior Architect to lead a production team and establish a rich design culture, demonstrating a rigorous process of design excellence and creating a creative studio environment\.
Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Staff projects with a heavy emphasis on technical quality
+ Develops and conducts training sessions/courses on new concepts, approaches and/or materials to enhance the capabilities of the unit within a specialty
+ Provides leadership enhancing morale and team building among department staff
+ Communicates company information, directives, policies and procedures to department staff\.
**Minimum Requirements**
The ideal candidate will have the capacity to engage colleagues and engineers and lead junior design staff by modeling a work ethic that supports technical excellence and a multi\-disciplinary design approach\. The candidate must have significant expertise in the planning and design of one and two family NYC residential work types\. They must possess exceptionally strong technical skills accompanied by a technical knowledge to support creative, innovative and grounded design thinking and exploration\. The candidate must also be high energy, have established relationships with industry communities, and be outgoing and self\-motivated\. We are conducting a local search for this role at this time\.
Other requirements include:
+ BA degree in Architecture\.
+ Registered Architect \(RA\) licensure in NY required\.
+ Minimum 10 years experience in a team based practice with all phases of project development in the NYC realm, from conceptual design, with heavy experience in design consultation and construction documents\.
+ Experience working on small to medium sized residential projects
+ Must have extensive experience with NYC DOB\.
+ Strong organizational, interpersonal and graphic communications skills
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Proficiency in graphic software including: Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and other related software is preferred\.
+ NYC \(Queens\) residents are strongly preferred\.
