Preferred Requirements: • Previous experience working with nuclear facility construction projects,including a welding background. • A strong auditing/assessment background in the nuclear industry • Previous WIPP experience Additional Information: • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test. • Relocation benefits are available. Position Description: The successful candidate will conduct Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control reviews, audits, and associated activities. Review and approve various work package documents to ensure quality needs are addressed from both a programmatic, as well as a Quality Control standpoint. Provide input for quality inspection criteria for nuclear items to be fabricated, procured, modified, used, or maintained for the site. Conduct independent oversight of NWP quality affecting activities associated with waste receipts. Will be required to qualify as a Lead Auditor for the NWP Assessment Program. Will be required to develop checklists, assessment plans and reports. Prepare quality oversight plans associated with design, procurement, fabrication, and construction of either items or facilities (i.e., purchase requisitions, work packages, and procedures).
