**About the Business Line** **Water**
We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design\-build\.
**Job Summary** AECOM is currently seeking a Business Development Leader to pursue and capture Federal Water Business programs and projects\.
Key Focus:
+ Support the overarching corporate partnership development campaigns and lead the tactical execution of the business development strategy\.
+ Develops new business opportunities that result in pipeline growth commensurate with expectations by leveraging customer focused marketing through consultancy engagements with senior government officials\.
+ Create and manage investment budgets in accordance with current and future customer needs and associated growth plans\.
+ Lead team in the use of AECOM process and adoption of business development tools to drive efficiencies, effectively manage proposal resources, and increase competitive win rate\.
+ Provide subject matter expertise to the business in the development of new business opportunities including customer procurement processes, funding capabilities, competitive intelligence, and requirements design\.
+ Engages and participates in reviews, briefings, and other critical internal operational engagements leveraging domain knowledge and effective communication strategies\.
+ Plan, coordinate, and execute prioritized strategy focused on closing pursuits leveraging resources from across the business\.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Lead major pursuits\.
+ Build on strong relationships and interact regularly with existing and new clients, teaming partners, industry groups and stakeholders\.
+ Lead the development of market sector intelligence including industry assessment, trends, and opportunities for investment\.
+ Identify and investigate major project opportunities in the Americas\. Prioritize these project opportunities based on the overall Return on Investment for AECOM\.
+ Identify and organize the relevant capabilities of AECOM related to identified opportunities\. Understand capability gaps and identify key hires to strengthen our offering\.

**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelor’s degree
+ 15\+ years of progressive experience working for large complex organizations \(public and private sector\)
+ 15 years of experience leading or influencing the policy development or planning
+ Ability to develop key and trusted client relationships that can lead to new business quickly
+ Extensive existing client relationships as well as an elevated existing profile as an industry leader
+ Demonstrated skills and track record in marketing and business development, including market strategy development, competitive assessment, market positioning and market strategy execution
+ Superior interpersonal skills including relationship building and communication at all levels and work collaboratively across the organization; listening to other points of view while still being persuasive
+ Demonstrable teambuilding and influencing skills; unquestioned integrity; and the experience, confidence, and stature to effectively address major client needs and challenges
+ Track record of contributing and leading organizations and associations relevant to the industry
