We address the complete spectrum of energy challenges, including clean and renewable energy, energy efficiency and carbon management, hydropower and dams, thermal, geothermal and wind power generation, and transmission and distribution\.
**Job Summary** AECOM Design and Consulting Services \(DCS\) are seeking a dynamic executive to lead the Northeast Power operations\. The Northeast Power leader is responsible for overall business line performance and growth including delivery of the financial plan\. This is an opportunity to assume leadership of a substantial, established business unit and grow the business by providing effective business development and leadership skills\.
Specific responsibilities include:
• Day\-to\-day operational Power business line for the Northeast Region
• Develops marketing plans, anticipates opportunities, and identifies market trends\.
• Leadership of market segment staff in pursuits and client development
• Development of teaming partnerships on major pursuits
• Drawing upon technical expertise, directs the development of capture plans that conform to the business development strategy and technical capabilities
• Coordinates efforts between the region and geography business line
• Builds strong relationships and interacts regularly with existing and new clients, teaming partners, industry groups and stakeholders linked to the business line\.
• Development of a staff mix to execute current and future projects
• Serving as the Power Business “Face” of AECOM in support of business unit sales and top\-line growth
• Providing geopolitical and civic leadership/presence within the area
• Supporting project management and delivery
• Collaboration with Area / Metro Managers to support sales and top\-line growth as well as achieve strategic business growth targets\.
• Ensuring a strong focus on clients, a commitment to excellence and innovation, a safe and healthy work environment and strong engagement of employees
• Engaging region and area business services as necessary
• Regular communication with staff to ensure that all initiatives are delivered and executed in a positive and effective manner
• Providing strategic input and executing the strategic plan
• Defines and mitigates risks and commercial terms during the pursuit process\.
• Negotiates favorable contract terms and conditions, manages achievement of cost of sales, as\-sold margin, backlog, and other related financial and business goals\.
• Continuously interacts with clients assuring satisfaction with AECOM services and interacting with project delivery personnel to ensure any service issues are identified and addressed in a proactive manner\.
• Oversees development of capture strategies and direct pursuits of profitable business\.
• May also represent the company in municipal, provincial, state, and federal group forums\.
• Provides guidance and coaching to business development, end market, account management and other region sales support staff\. Is a member of the Region Management Team, focused on optimizing the overall performance of the Region\.
Performance metrics include:
• Primary: Bookings, GSR, GOI, EBITA and Net Promoter Score
• Other: Book\-to\-burn, backlog growth, SNB conversion, market share, BD ROI, industry leadership
**Minimum Requirements** Bachelor’s degree
20\+ years energy industry experience
Must have good leadership and management skills including 10\+ year’s business development, operations management and/or staff management\.
Must have experience in the Electric Power market in the Northeast Area, either working directly for a Utility or as a consultant or contractor\.
Must have good leadership and management skills
P&L experience and business development skills
Strong relationships with Utilities with business in the Northeast Region
**Preferred Qualifications** Advanced degree
Knowledge of multiple aspects of the energy business sector
