**Job Summary** **Job Summary:**
Under the direction of the Safety, Health & Environment Manager – Northern and Western Australia, this role will be responsible for providing health and safety support and administrative assistance to the AECOM’s Perth\-based management team and employees\. The incumbent will be responsible for the review and assessment of risks related to health and safety and coordinating of a range of activities in relation to AECOM’s AS4801 and OHSAS 18001 certifications\.
You will have sound working knowledge of WA WHS statutory requirements\. Knowledge of injury management and return to work programs will be beneficial\. This role will suit a health and safety professional with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role that has a personable, collaborative approach and energy for engaging with people\.
**Minimum Requirements** **Minimum Requirements:**
+ A demonstrated ability to oversee and maintain WHS management systems, policies and procedures\.
+ Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships to actively reinforce and promote WHS in partnership with the Perth management team and NWA safety team\.
+ Ability to identify hazards, manage the Perth office risk and hazard registers and contribute to safety and environmental risk assessments for projects\.
+ Ensure recordable incidents/accidents and serious near\-misses are formally investigated and corrective actions are developed\.
+ Coordinate rehabilitation and return to work programs for injured workers\.
+ Coordinate the Perth\-based WHS Committee\.
+ Procure and maintain appropriate stock levels of PPE and safety\-related equipment\.
+ Superior written and verbal communication skills\.
+ Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team and deliver quality customer service
**Preferred Qualifications** **Qualifications:**
+ A tertiary qualification in health and safety \(essential\)\.
+ Return to work/Injury management coordinator \(essential\)\.
+ Certificate IV Workplace Trainer and Assessor or equivalent \(desirable\)\.
+ ICAM or equivalent \(desirable\)\.
+ Lead Health and Safety Auditor \(desirable\)\.
**Knowledge:**
+ Demonstrated time management, project management, planning administration and computer skills, including Microsoft Office\.
+ Demonstrated knowledge of relevant SH&E\-related Australian and International standards particularly AS4801 and OHSAS 18001\.
+ Sound working knowledge of WA WHS and Workers’ Rehabilitation and Compensation legislation and the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of the relevant Codes of Practice, etc\.
+ Be knowledgeable of current risk management standards, principles and frameworks including ISO31000:2009\.
