Minimum requirements: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in construction engineering or similar engineering/construction technology-related discipline; international project scheduling and cost control, and international construction project estimating experience strongly desired. • Must have at least 10 years of experience relevant to the tasks including at least one year of experience in an international environment, preferably the Former Soviet Union. Primary Skills: • Knowledge & experience with Laboratory, utility and electrical systems including commissioning and startup. • Good knowledge of electrical requirements for completion of construction and startup of HVAC, Compressors, Boilers, Diesel Generators, Process Pumps and Fans. • Previous experience in FSU is a must. • Knowledge & experience of testing, commissioning, start-up, operation & turnover practices. • Strong knowledge of process electrical isolation to perform safe electrical tasks. • Good leadership skills & able to supervise craft for testing, startup and operations activity. • Good computer skills including experience with MS Excel & MS Word. Communication Skills: • Strong oral and written communications skills. Physical Requirements • Able to climb stairs, ladders and work in heat and extreme cold • Able to lift up to 50 pounds This position requires residence and minor travel within the Former Soviet Union. Job Description: AECOM desires to hire a Project Engineer with proven successful experience to Provide supervision for a wide range of utility and electrical equipment and system testing & commissioning activities to the CSU team. Duties include, but are not limited to the following: • From an execution perspective, assure the preparation of CSU testing & commissioning procedures, work packs & documents is complete by team. • Participate in walk down of systems for turnover from Construction to CSU to Client. • Coordinate with engineering personnel during testing & pre-commissioning/commissioning phases. • Coordinate with Construction team during testing & pre-commissioning\commissioning phases to ensure safe execution. • Work with subcontractors, supplier representatives & other discipline teams during testing & commissioning phase to ensure proper documentation of testing • Support Safety and Quality activities by review during work preparation, and 100% compliance of craft sign on/off during execution of work. Essential Job Duties • Plans, schedules, conducts, or coordinates detailed phases of startup, operations, or maintenance for a project, including reviews of designs for plant operability and safety and jobsite pre-commissioning and startup assignments as directed. • Performs work that involves conventional practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting requirements, unsuitability of conventional methods, or difficult coordination requirements. • Assists with the preparation of operations manuals. • Plans, guides, or prepares project administrative and technical documents as required for startup, maintenance, operation, or testing. • Coordinates startup between project engineering, construction, specialty staff groups, clients, and vendors. • Assumes a lead role over other engineers for specific tasks as assigned. May direct overall startup activities on specific assignments. • From an execution perspective, assure the preparation of testing & commissioning procedures, work packs & documents is complete by team. Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
