More information on AECOM and its services can be found at www\.aecom\.com\. **About the Business Line**  **Water** We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design\-build\. **Job Summary** AECOM is currently seeking an Engineer I for our office in Norfolk, VA to join our Water Business Line\. The successful candidate will generally be involved with water and wastewater infrastructure projects for both public and private sector clients\. Work may include client/team meetings, field investigation and preparation of calculations, drawings, specifications and estimates of construction costs related to waste water treatment, water treatment, storage and distribution, and sanitary sewer system design and rehabilitation\. Pipeline related tasks will consist of both gravity and pressure systems and will include pump station design\. This person will work with other personnel and disciplines to coordinate and complete drawings and develop deliverables\. The Engineer I will apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications\. Will perform all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works\. **Minimum Requirements** + Minimum B\.S\. Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or equal from an accredited university or college\. + Course work and experience with focus on water and wastewater collection/distribution, conveyance and treatment\. + 0\-2 years’ experience with environmental engineering design\. + Registered Engineer in Training + Excellent written and verbal communication skills\. + Demonstration of the desire and ability to succeed through past accomplishments \(work successes, professional and civic leadership, participation in service organizations, etc\.\) **Preferred Qualifications** + Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D design software is desired\. + Proficiency with water and wastewater modeling software is desired\. + M\.S\. degree in Environmental Engineering is desired\. **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
