Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources\.
**Job Summary**
AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented **Geologist** for immediate employment in the Odessa, TX office\. The appropriate qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in Environmental Due Diligence, Environmental Remediation, and Environmental Compliance\. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects\. The incumbent can look forward to projects including site investigations, treatability studies, groundwater monitoring programs, and remediation of hazardous waste sites\.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Assist a team of scientists and engineers that provide environmental services to public and private sector clients
+ Travel to project sites to assist with fieldwork \(e\.g\., soil sampling, groundwater sampling, visual site inspections\)
+ Assist with preparation of health and safety plans, work plans, and reports
+ Perform data review and prepare tables with results for the project team
+ Report to a Remediation Department team leader, but will work under the supervision of task leaders and Project Managers
+ Develop reports related to ESAs and environmental remediation projects conducted under the Texas Risk Reduction Program rule, the Railroad Commission of Texas and/or the TCEQ Leaking Petroleum Storage Tank \(LPST\) program
+ Develop Health and Safety Plans, Sampling Plans, and Site Investigation Reports
+ Support projects that may involve NEPA, ecological site assessments, wetlands delineation and biological surveys
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Geology or comparable natural science degree \(e\.g\., environmental science, soil science, etc\.\)
+ 2\+ years of data collection, data review and preparation of scientific documents \(work performed in graduate school may satisfy this requirement\)
+ Experience in environmental sampling \(soil, groundwater, etc\)
+ Knowledge of environmental site assessments \(Phase I and II ESA’s\)
+ Ability to write and convey thoughts and ideas in a clear, concise manner
+ Ability to organize data in an efficient and clear manner
+ Ability to learn through on\-the\-job experience
+ Attention to detail and a strong work ethic
+ Experience in using Microsoft Word and Excel
+ Ability to multi task efficiently
+ Must be adaptable to changes
+ Position involves frequent travel in support of projects \(variable range from 25% to 75%\)
+ Valid driver's license
