Minimum Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business / Logistics or related job field. Two years of job-related experience may be substituted for each year of college. Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET-level Security Clearance.
Work Experience: Five years job-related experience or equivalent. Experience in DoD ship Logistics support, design/engineering, new construction, and/or Fleet maintenance programs is desired. HM&E/electronic/total ship platform background is desired. Knowledge of the Navy Alteration process is desired. Submarine experience, military service, and supervisory experience is a plus.
Special Skills: Organizational skills, technical management skills, and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required. Self-motivated, possess analytical skills and be customer-oriented. Able to clearly communicate ideas to others verbally and in writing. Versed in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
Job Description: AECOM is actively recruiting for a mid-level Logistics Analyst with demonstrated skills in Acquisition and Technical Program Management for In-Service Submarines, and technical writing. The successful candidate will provide contractor technical support services for the In-Service Logistics Support Manager (PMS450FE) at the VIRGINIA (SSN 774) Class Submarine Program Management Office (PMS 450). Primary responsibilities include technical support for the Alterations Program efforts for the VIRGINIA Class Submarine Program. Provide liaison with the VIRGINIA Class Post Delivery Support and Test Manager for analysis and processing of Alterations, perform analysis of Alterations for Logistics impacts using the supportability analysis process. Facilitate the review of Alterations by designated VIRGINIA Class Readiness and Fleet Support Managers, evaluate the Logistics cost and schedule impacts for backfit of Alterations onto In-Service submarines and for submarines under construction. Participate as the VIRGINIA Class Readiness and Fleet Support Manager’s representative in the change control process at the Program Office level. Perform other program management, technical and administrative tasks as directed. Coordinate tasks with Navy Participating Managers, Field Activities, other contractors and Navy activities.
