Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent. Four years drafting experience. Strong written, verbal, mathematical, and interpersonal skills. Some experience with 3D design preferred. Proficiency with AutoCAD, MS Visio, Adobe Acrobat . Configuration Management Training. Quality Management and Safety Awareness Training. Working Knowledgeable of Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Publication Drawing standards, and Filing Systems. Experience with ANSI Y14-2000 standards for technical drawings. Experience with configuration version control of software programs
Ability to proficiently speak, read, and write English. Possess a valid state issued driver's license. Must obtain and maintain a Secret DoD security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Current Secret clearance.
Prefer Associate of Science of Arts Degree in Engineering, Drafting, Design, Graphic Arts, or related field or High School Diploma and Graduate of an accredited technical or service school, to include electronics and drafting curriculum.
Job Description: Develops and maintains detailed network drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, layout drawings, mechanical drawings, for intermediate and final assemblies, repair of electronic components, and printed circuit boards.
Examines electronic schematics and supporting documents to develop, compute, and verify drafting data specifications such as configuration of parts, dimensions, and tolerances.
Prepares detailed drawings that include logical and physical views of computer system, networks, and mechanical assemblies.
Develops drawings from sketches, marked-up prints, layouts, and physical inspection.
Perform computer computations to evaluate and prepare field survey data for accuracy, quality, and completeness.
Maintains records and files on topographic, horizontal, and vertical control surveys.
Use online configuration management system to archive and retrieve drawing and technical documents.
Interface with and provided direct support to the Engineering Team as required.
Maintains digital data in electronic format such as MS Visio, AutoCAD, Adobe Acrobat, MS Word files. Has the ability to organize and manage version control and document approval cycles from new and revised, to final reviewing and release of drawings and documentation. Archives digital data in electronic and hard copy formats as required.
Preferred candidate will have an Information Technology background and be familiar with the interconnection of networks and communications systems.
Perform other duties as directed.
