We enable the success of our employees and our operations by ensuring they have the tools, information, resources and support they need to do their jobs\. **Job Summary** This position is responsible for assisting with corporate\-level communications — particularly press releases and outreach to editors — to help tell the AECOM story\. The successful candidate also should be capable of working with others on the Corporate Communications team to repackage external\-facing materials for other company communications channels, such as newsletter stories, Web content and operations\-focused collateral\. Position could be based in Piscataway, NJ, or Manhattan\. **Responsibilities** + Draft a variety of external communications – especially press releases aimed at trade media outlets\. + Pitching stories to trade publication editors\. + Assist in the content\-approval process\. + Copyedit materials as needed\. + Assist with the repackaging of content for other communications channels\. **Minimum Requirements** + Strong written and oral communications skills\. + Ability to synthesize complex materials and to craft messaging that is clear and objective for a variety of audiences\. + Strong knowledge of Associated Press style\. + Ability to build relationships and work effectively at all levels of a global organization\. + Demonstrated ability to work effectively on a variety of projects concurrently, especially in a demanding environment, under tight deadlines\. + Self\-starter capable of assuming responsibility for several tasks at once with little supervision\. **Preferred Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications or related discipline\. + 4 to 6 years professional communications\-related experience, preferably in a global, multi\-site company or large public relations firm\. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite\. + High energy and enthusiasm\. + Experience pitching stories to media outlets preferred\. **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
