**Job Summary** Aecom are currently recruiting for a Principal Thermal Electrical Engineer to join our Power Generation Division in either our London or Croydon office\.
From our hub in the UK we are supporting thermal power clients across the EMEA region in developing and delivering their projects, this is being achieved both from the local team and through collaboration with the global thermal power resources\.
As part of this strategy we are now seeking candidates with a strong thermal power background across a number of engineering disciplines to strengthen UK based team who are situated in Bristol, Birmingham, Edinburgh, London and Croydon\.
As Senior Electrical Engineer – Thermal the successful candidate will support AECOM Owner’s Engineer detailed design and TA work, will work with other electrical engineers within the energy business line and become an advocate for AECOM within the industry\.
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Experience of delivering H& S by design\.
+ BSc, BEng, MSc or MEng Electrical Engineering\.
+ Experience of working within a team of Electrical Engineers\.
+ Experience of world class Quality systems\.
+ Experience of developing specifications\.
+ Experience of delivering detail design work within a team including CAD staff\.
+ Working in multi disciplinary teams\.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Chartered member of IET\.
+ Experience of large conventional, super critical, and combined cycle power plant\.
+ Experience of generating machinery on large thermal power plant \.
+ Experience of other generating equipment e\.g\. for hydro or CHP\.
