A graduation certificate from a spectrum management course, Interservice Radio Frequency Management School, Apprentice Spectrum Operations Course, or equivalent. A minimum of 2 years working frequency assignment in a federal-level spectrum management office.
Ability to work in a dynamic, multitasking environment

Job Description: The Spectrum Assignment SME will support the AFSMO Spectrum Support Directorate (AFSMO/SQ), be thoroughly familiar with DoD frequency assignment process, and be responsible for the comprehensive and timely completion of all steps required to successfully process frequency assignment requests. Creates/ reviews frequency assignment proposals to determine technical conflicts with existing frequency assignments; ensures compliance with applicable policy, regulations, and procedures; and recommends corrective action when necessary. Performs interference analysis, frequency nomination and processing using Spectrum XXI.
