AECOM’s Global Support Services \(GSS\) organization resides within AECOM's Government business line and is comprised of three divisions — International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs\. **Job Summary**
AECOM has an excellent opportunity for **Refrigeration/HVAC** professional on our FOSTERS program in Australia\. The selected candidate performs the maintenance and repair to equipment associated with the HVAC infrastructure at the Joint Defense Facility at Pine Gap \(JDFPG\) and the air\-conditioning of its vehicle fleet\. This includes, but is not limited to, maintenance of large chillers, DX refrigeration equipment, chilled water cooling systems and residential air conditioning systems\. Scope of work will range from minor and major repairs, servicing and where necessary replacement of equipment\. Overtime and callouts may be required\. Additional responsibilities include performing maintenance tasks as required; either programmed \(planned\) maintenance or repairs; performing tasks for project type work as required on an ad hoc basis; performing planning of tools, equipment, assistance and materials needed to complete tasks; liaising with others to notify and organize tasks to be undertaken as required; ensuring that equipment is maintained to operate in a safe manner; reporting any incidents via chain of command to Management as a priority; use of computer systems to record and plan work tasks; working as part of a multi\-disciplined team; assisting in all areas of Facilities Maintenance from time to time as required and as within the individuals capabilities; performing other duties as directed by a Senior Maintenance Technician and respond to call\-outs when available\.
This is a TDY position\.
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Active, fully adjudicated TS/SCI Clearance with polygraph\.
+ High School or equivalent\. work experience\.
+ Trade Qualification: Refrigeration Mechanic\.
+ Current Driver’s License\.
+ Demonstrated 3\-5 years experience in new construction and industrial maintenance work\.
+ Demonstrated ability to plan and organize tasks\.
+ Training and experience in refrigerant recovery\.
+ Understanding of EH&S procedures\.
+ Knowledge of the environmental impacts and legislative requirements regarding ozone depleting substances\.
+ Ability to work professionally with minimal supervision\.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Previous relevant experience preferred\.
+ Previous military or civilian experience an advantage \.
+ Training in appropriate safety procedures \(i\.e\. Confined Space Entry, Working at Heights, Electrical Safety, Personal Protective Equipment, Lockout/Tagout, Working in Trenches etc\.\)\.
+ Commitment to self\-improvement with the focus on qualifications/skills update and contemporary industry practices\.
+ Able to work professionally with minimal supervision\.
+ Microsoft Office Suite knowledge\.
+ Demonstrated knowledge and experience in maintaining a relevant spare parts supply\.
