More information on AECOM and its services can be found at www\.aecom\.com\. **About the Business Line** **Water** We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design\-build\. **Job Summary** The Electrical & Instrumentation Team of the Water division is seeking a permanent employee to join our growing team\. Water Instrumentation, Electrical and Automation Team is a vibrant and growing business line which delivers project management, Electrical and Instrumentation & Controls engineering services as well as construction support and site commissioning for large municipal projects in the Canada West region\. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established carrier in electrical engineering and design for large commercial and industrial facilities, with specific skills into Water and/or Wastewater Plant Design\. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: + Design and specification development for electrical power and distribution systems, lighting and low tension systems \(fire alarm, telecommunications and security\) focused in low voltage applications + Design and specification of instrumentation and process control devices for various processes including water/wastewater treatment and industrial applications + Ensure accuracy, completeness and quality of technical information and project documentation in accordance with QA/QC programs + Assist in the team achieving engineering deliverables \(e\.g\., drawings, specifications, analysis and reports\) which comply with applicable regulations, standards, corporate procedures and sound engineering practices + Work closely with other discipline Engineers, Designers and Project Managers as a key team player within an integrated multi\-disciplinary project delivery team + Required ability to manage, organize and participate in multiple work assignments including production support of contract documents as required + Required ability to manage and organize the activity of other team members, provide supervision to designer teams and coordinate multiple work assignments and multiple projects **Minimum Requirements** + Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized post\-secondary institution + 8 years related industry experience + Excellent written and oral communications skills + Proven interpersonal skills and ability to work within multi\-discipline environment + Familiarity with the Canadian Electrical Code \(NEC or IEC exposure is an asset\) + Proven leadership qualities or experience to manage and lead work of small design teams + Membership with APEGBC as P\.Eng\. or another Canadian jurisdiction will be considered + Valid Driver's License **Preferred Qualifications** + 10 years experience - preferrably in Water and Waste Water treatment processes - or institutional, commercial and light industrial project experience will be considered + Applicable experience in electrical related design and commissioning preferably encompassing: electrical distribution systems and equipment up to 25kV, MCC and motor controls design, variable speed drives, instrumentation & DCS control systems + Experience with a variety of computer aided design platforms including Revit MEP, AutoCAD and Microstation for the production of contract documents + Proficient in the use of power analysis software such as ETAP or EasyPower is an asset + Experienced \(field\) with installation of electrical and controls equipment in industrial / process industry including water/wastewater treatment and light industrial applications, or relevant field experience background + Proven ability to manage, organize and participate in multiple work assignments, QA/QC procedure development and implementation, including design stage document management and control and/or site oversite activities will be considered a bonus **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
