**Job Summary** The Survey/GIS Division of AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented Professional Surveyor for immediate employment in its Charlotte, NC office\. The appropriately qualified applicant will manage all survey related services for the Charlotte, NC location and maintain professional relationships with clients, peers and competitors\.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Responsible for the overall quality of staff’s work and oversees projects
• Responsible for the team management planning, organizing, controlling, reporting and leading
• Determines workload for team, including short\-, medium\- and long\-term business goals and objectives
• Maintains effective communication within the team and with clients
• Tracks and reports on the team’s monthly financial performance
• Works with multiple teams to pursue, manage and deliver projects
• Establishes, promotes, and ensures quality on all projects and work performance
• Proactively monitors projects to identify and address financial, safety and liability issues, as well as to ensure completion on schedule
• Ensures staff meets safety and other IE mandated training requirements
• Reviews and recommends and/or approves contracts and cost estimates
• Prepares and implements business development programs
• Presents and explains proposals, reports, and findings to clients
**Minimum Requirements** • Bachelor's degree in land surveying or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience
• Must hold a Professional Land Surveyor license in North Carolina
• 10\+ years land surveying project experience, including managing and coordinating all phases of surveying and mapping projects
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Business development, marketing and sales skills needed
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and the ability to travel
