**About the Business Line** **Environment**
Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources\.
**Job Summary** The **Director of Strategic Planning and Technical Services** , Environment business line, DCS Americas, will focus on developing strategy for attracting new Clients and Services, resulting in winning more work and achieving profitable growth\.
Critical components of the role include heavy research, data and financial analysis; analytics; researching and developing executive briefings; agenda development and preparation for national and global meetings; major event planning and execution; and issues analysis, planning and preparation\.
The successful candidate will have the ability to seamlessly operate in an extremely fast\-paced, dynamic environment demonstrating flexibility in handling responsibilities at all levels and working collaboratively across teams to achieve results\. This position requires the acumen to handle complex situations and balance multiple responsibilities with a heightened sense of urgency and purpose\.
The Director of Strategic Planning and Technical Services core responsibilities will include:
+ Drive and own the process to generate and sell\-in creative, actionable and unique strategies and ideas, demonstrating in\-depth knowledge of client’s business and its target audiences
+ Successfully present and sell ideas/plans resulting in winning new work and top line growth\.
+ Maintain collaborative relationships with multiple clients, representing a variety of internal divisions
+ Creatively troubleshoot challenges as they arise, engaging appropriate stakeholders
+ Utilize research to develop insights to help drive strategic creative planning and Technical Services expansion nationally\.
+ Develop creative briefings; lead brainstorm sessions for client opportunities; develop/vet ideas generated in brainstorm sessions
+ Work with Key Account Teams and Technical Services Groups to identify growth opportunities with clients
+ Align regional with national/global strategies within the Environment business for a cohesive execution\.
+ Drive technical service value proposition to end markets and account
+ Drive the market branding of AECOM through publications and presentations
+ Expand AECOM Technical Practice Groups/Networks

**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelor's degree required
+ 15\+ years applicable work experience in a large, complex and publically traded global organization and/or government agency at the corporate/executive level environment
+ Market research and data analysis, strategic planning, financial analysis, modeling, reporting, project and program management, and vendor management for C\-suite and Board level reporting
+ Experience on national/global teams that drove enterprise\-wide initiatives with recognized results
+ Proven experience managing and influencing others effectively in a matrix driven multi\-national environment
+ Demonstrated strong leadership skills, with analytical ability and experience with strategic planning processes
+ Prior experience in some of AECOM’s industry/end markets a plus, e\.g\., E&C is highly desirable
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and direct multiple projects and activities with varied deadlines; effective in moving strategic agendas, and politically savvy
+ Ability to communicate and lead in a manner that fosters understanding, teamwork, employee engagement and commitment to results; ability to set priorities and work well with all levels of personnel
+ Utilizes sound judgment; ensures utmost discretion and confidentiality in all matters
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills
+ Highly proficient written and oral English language skills
+ Strong operational focus, analytical skills and internal controls experience
+ Advanced to expert level proficiency in MS Office with focus on PowerPoint and Excel
