Our design process is based on energy\-efficient building systems, and appropriate selection of materials and form to maximize environmental conditions and long\-term performance\. **Job Summary** Our Los Angeles Buildings \+ Places Studio is a multi\-disciplinary design practice featuring professionals in Urban Design, Master Planning, Architecture, Interiors, Landscape Architecture, and Economics\. Our projects vary widely in size, type, scope and complexity, and often draw on collaborations with other disciplines within the AECOM family such as Transportation, Energy, Water, and Building Engineering\. These cross\-disciplinary collaborations create a unique and unparalleled environment for learning about and shaping the built world\. We are looking for a designer who wants to apply their passion and enthusiasm for design in a collaborative and progressive work environment\. The designer will be working with project teams and assisting on conceptual and schematic design packages, working drawings, supporting RFP responses and interview preparation materials\. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for design & planning solutions\. Applicants should have strong capabilities in 3D modeling and architectural visualization\. Candidate must be able to lead a team effort, work independently and help develop the more junior staff\. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below: + Help coordinate projects with all consultants + Able to actively participate in a project from beginning to end + Supervise interns and junior designers at all phases of the project + Help the team to stay on time and on budget + Help in recruiting new employees **Minimum Requirements** + Bachelor's Degree in related field + 5 years' expertise, with an emphasis on Corporate, Entertainment, or Hospitality + Experience in Space Planning and Design Concept development + Experience in programming large clients with groups of varied and competing needs + Thorough knowledge of the design process, including FF&E, furniture systems and specifications, color and materials + Flexibility to travel within the United States + Understanding of the capacity of the following programs and the type of documentation they produce relative to project deliverables: three dimensional modeling software Sketch\-up, Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD 2010 and Revit **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience working on projects of 50,000 \+ or larger preferred **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
