**Job Summary** The Senior Estimator \(Estimator\) will develop cost engineering and estimating for the Trinidad National Infrastructure Development Company \(NIDCO\) project \(Project\), a national highway construction program\. The Estimator will be responsible for the development and preparation of all program and variation estimates as required by AECOM on behalf of NIDCO\.
Responsibilities for the Estimator are, but not limited to:
+ Assist the Contracts Manager and the Resident Engineer in the development, review and updating of Project estimates as well as individual project estimates
+ Lead and mentor subordinate personnel that are responsible for cost estimates of all labor, materials and equipment required to successfully deliver the Project and as well as any new individual projects
+ Assure that the estimating effort is accomplished through the use of current electronic estimating programs
+ Develop any required unit prices for the Project and/or other projects as requested, and prepare data base of unit costs to be used for negotiation of variations and Estimate to Complete \(ETC\)for the Project based on local Trinidad cost factors and foreign material costs if required
+ Prepare and deliver all levels and gradations of estimates as may be required or requested in the delivery of the Trinidad program
+ Prepare conceptual, preliminary and final estimates for all methods of project delivery as requested, including, Design, bid, build, Design / Build, Guaranteed Maximum Price, and Lump Sum Price
+ Provide cost estimating in support of the AECOM Trinidad Project as required and/or as requested
+ Work with the AECOM team to identify and communicate the business and technical aspects of estimating in order to coordinate the efforts of the estimating group
+ Participate in identification, selection and development of AECOM systems that will achieve, maintain or improve AECOM’s delivery of the Project
+ When required develop quantity surveys of the program and/or the program projects
+ Assist in the development of contract General Requirements that are intended to assure successful cost management of the program
+ Review bid documents for reasonableness and consistency with the AECOM estimates
+ Review proposed contractor changes \(Variations\) for: Continuity and consistency with the NIDCO program requirements to assure coordination with other disciplines
+ Assure the maintenance of NIDCO program documentation required or used to develop program and/or Project estimates
+ Assure that AECOM project management remains versed in market conditions that impact the delivery of the NIDCO program
