More information on AECOM and its services can be found at www\.aecom\.com\. **About the Business Line** **Environment** Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources\. **Job Summary** The AECOM Baton Rouge Air Team is actively seeking a highly talented **Chemical Engineer** to serve as a Project Manager\. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects\. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: + Performs emission calculations for use in air permit applications; performs regulatory analysis on State and Federal levels; prepares Air permit applications for submittal to the Agency + Usually performs as a staff advisor and consultant as to technical specialty, a type of facility, industry, equipment or program function + Conducts peer reviews and makes technical presentations + May develop and evaluate project plans and criteria for a variety of projects and activities to be carried out by others + Reviews and approves scopes, budgets and schedules for assignments + Tracks overall financial performance of task assignment; this will include coordinating with the Project Manager to monitor sold time and work backlog on task + Actively involved with clients and business development + Makes decisions independently on engineering problems and methods, and represents the organization in conferences to resolve important questions and to plan and coordinate work + Carries out complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures + Delegates work to, mentors, trains and supervises less experienced staff to complete assignments **Minimum Requirements** + Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, or other appropriate engineering discipline + 5\+years of relevant experience in air permitting; emission calculations, regulatory analysis, emissions reporting + Diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields + Utilization of advanced techniques and the modification and extension of theories, precepts, and practices of sciences and disciplines + Ability to solve complex issues with limited direction + Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre\-employment substance abuse test **Preferred Qualifications** + 7\+ years of experience **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
