Minimum Requirements: Education: Bachelor degree or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: Twelve (12) years experience in ISMS, nuclear operations, maintenance, and training. The successful candidate will have participated in a leadership role implementing and maintaining ISMS at a major DOE nuclear project and will be able to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of effective implementation of ISMS directives with emphasis on the guiding principles and core functions. Knowledge of successful methods for demonstrating compliance with the ISMS Team Leaders Handbook core expectations is essential. Must have experience in presenting training to small and large groups ranging from senior management to workers. Naval nuclear experience highly desired.
Job Description: URS is seeking a ISMS Verification Coordinator to be located at our Richland, WA location.
Job Overview
Reports to the Readiness Assurance Manager and coordinates all aspects of preparing the Project for the Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS) Phase I and Phase II Verifications. ISMS Verification Coordinator possesses management experience, significant nuclear skills and abilities, readiness and ISMS verification experience, and professional maturity. The ISMS Verification Coordinator exercise these skills in interfacing with all levels of the organization from senior management to employees to prepare the Project for successful ISMS Phase 1 and Phase II Verifications.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS
In addition to general management duties and responsibilities, the following specific responsibilities apply:
• Provide management, readiness, and ISMS experience in preparing for readiness reviews and ISMS Phase I and Phase II verifications
• Provide coaching and mentoring in performance-based observations
• Conduct compliance assessments
• Participate as the Commissioning & Operations (C&O) liaison on the ISMS Steering Committee to facilitate project transition of institutional programs from the current EPC focus to a Commissioning focus in support of WTP facility and system turnover to C&O care, custody, and control
• Support Requirement Area Managers (RAMs) with closure of open items associated with the ISMS core expectations
• Maintain and execute the ISMS Phase I Verification Plan
• Conduct training of the key members that execute the ISMS Phase I Verification Plan
