Bachelor’s degree in facility maintenance, engineering or related field or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience. 8 years of experience in maintenance and repair of industrial HVAC, industrial electrical, plumbing or utility plant operations will be considered demonstrated equivalent experience with no education. 2. In addition to education, 2 years of Facility Planning experience. Preferred Qualifications: 1. Experience in employee and subcontracted work coordination in a predictive and reliability based facility maintenance program. 2. Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and expertise in a variety of critical systems including but not limited to: HVAC, chillers, electrical components as they related to facility equipment, and plumbing. 3. Experience working in a CMMS environment, especially with planning and scheduling work. 4. Proficient with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and Access). 5. Experience working with a building management monitoring system. 6. Reliability maintenance experience, including vibration analysis and testing and data gathering programs. 7. Certification or formal training from Facility Maintenance Organizations such as IFMA, AFE or BOMA. 8. Journey Level license in HVAC, Electrical or Plumbing. 9. State of Massachusetts Third Class Engineer license, Second Class Fireman license, or Grade II Industrial Waste Water license. Additional Information: • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test. • This position may require a valid Driver’s License. • This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization. • This position will require the ability to obtain a security access badge at our client’s location. • This position may require various shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules. Job Description: URS, an AECOM company, is seeking a Facility Maintenance Planner / Scheduler in Cambridge, MA contingent on the award of new business. The Facility Maintenance Planner / Scheduler works with supervision, reliability engineering, and staff to plan and schedule routine and planned activities for facility support services related to safety, building automation, facility maintenance, projects, general maintenance as well as preventive and reliability maintenance. This position acts as principal liaison between AECOM staff, our subcontractors and our client’s requesting departments for the planning and scheduling of facilities maintenance requests. Essential Functions: • Schedule daily, weekly and monthly planned Demand Work Orders and Preventive Maintenance (PM) Work Orders. • Distribute Demand and PM Work Orders in the form of a schedule and assist Supervisor and/or Leads with job coordination. • Maintain status of Demand and PM Work Orders and oversee compliance to established work order priorities. • Maintain and control work order documents that are awaiting parts or are on hold. • Analyze and report data on Demand and PM Work Orders such as: overdue, backlog, received/ completed statistics and additional reports as requested for monthly reporting to Program Manager and Supervisor. • Assist Reliability Engineer with writing systems Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and validation procedures for equipment and systems. • Work with the Supervisor, Leads, Technicians and Procurement to ensure accurate and timely communication with the requestor(s) regarding status of work orders such as: awaiting parts, on hold, or that have been rescheduled. • Coordinate requests for contracted services with Procurement, the appropriate Supervisor, Lead and client. • Work with and oversee subcontractor activities. • Provide recommendations with regards to facilities equipment and utility systems maintenance programs. • Read and interpret blue prints, schematics and one-line drawings. • Utilize computer maintenance managements system (CMMS) to plan and schedule work. • Comply with established safety and environmental procedures. • Maintain high level of customer service. • Adjust to changing conditions and occasionally work second shift, holidays, and weekends as required. • Perform under minimal supervision and exercise independent judgment in problem resolution. • Perform additional duties as directed. • Communicate facilities requirements to team leads.
