**About the Business Line** **Water**
We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design\-build\.
**Job Summary** The Water Division of AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented **Water Resources Engineer** for immediate employment in the Denver Tech Center office\. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in water resources, specific to surface water design and analysis, transportation drainage and floodplain management\. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Willing to help grow an existing Surface Water Department
+ Performing hydrologic and hydraulic modeling
+ Conducting design calculations
+ Preparing design drawings and specifications
+ Design and permitting reports
+ Preparing cost and schedule estimates
+ Assisting with client development and proposal activities
+ Requires working with, and leading, multidisciplinary teams, mentoring junior staff, and representing AECOM water interests within Colorado
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering
+ 10\+ years of consulting experience in stormwater conveyance, floodplain analysis, surface water hydraulics, and drainage design
+ Master's degree can substitute for up to 2 years of professional experience
+ Candidate must have proven experience working on municipal stormwater projects using UDFCD criteria, transportation project using CDOT criteria, and performing floodplain delineations using FEMA guidelines
+ Candidate must have proven experience performing and completing hydraulic modeling, surface water conveyance designs, and preparing construction plan sets and specifications
+ Colorado Professional Engineers License, or the ability to obtain one within six months
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in water quality, hydraulics, or hydrology
+ Understanding and experience with NPDES and Colorado SWPPP requirements
+ Understanding and experience with USACE 404 Permit procurement
+ Established relationships with area DOT’s, transportation authorities, and local municipalities
