**About the Business Line** **Water**
We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design\-build\.
**Job Summary** The Water Division of AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented **Surface Water Engineer** for immediate employment in the Colorado Springs office\. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects\.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Willing to help grow an existing Surface Water Department
+ Performing hydrologic and hydraulic modeling
+ Conducting design calculations
+ Preparing design drawings and specifications
+ Preparing design and permitting reports
+ Preparing cost and schedule estimates
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering
+ Ability to work independently, think critically and proactively, and work efficiently in a team oriented fast\-paced environment with multi\-disciplinary teams and on multiple projects simultaneously
+ Effective oral and written communication skills
+ Strong organizational and time management skills
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in water quality, hydraulics, or hydrology
+ Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam \(FE\)
+ 2\+ years of consulting experience in stormwater conveyance, floodplain analysis, surface water hydraulics, and drainage design
