More information on AECOM and its services can be found at www\.aecom\.com\. **About the Business Line** **Water** We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design\-build\. **Job Summary** AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented mid\-level **Water Resources Engineer** for immediate employment in the Austin, TX office\. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in analysis, design, and a desire to transition to a project management role specific to water infrastructure engineering\. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects\. This position will be part of the Gulf Coast Water Business Unit, Water Resources West Group\. This section pursues and completes water infrastructure engineering planning studies, preliminary and final design through Texas and supports other AECOM offices throughout the US\. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: + Will work on project teams + Mentor junior staff + Provide design support for projects + Develop into a project manager + Assist in identifying project opportunities through interactions with potential clients + The candidate will interact with clients, other team members, and other project managers to build credibility trust, and strong relationships that lead to ongoing project opportunities **Minimum Requirements** + Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field + 5\+ years of project experience including task management + Experience in analysis and design or water resources infrastructure, in particular flood control/water supply dams, transportation drainage design, hydrologic analysis, and stream channel analysis + Recent experience working in the water resources engineering field within Central Texas \(Austin, San Antonio\) and the El Paso, TX area + Recent experience with floodplain modeling in accordance with FEMA standards + Recent experience with NRCS flood control structures + Experience with the use of Excel to perform task lead management tasks + Ability to learn new software for project applications + Strong written and oral communication skills + Experience with design from concept level analysis to final design of hydraulic structures + Ability to train and manage junior staff; ability to work on project teams with diverse expertise + Experience with the following hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software: HEC\-HMS, HEC\-RAS \(steady and unsteady\), ArcGIS, Flo\-2D, SITES, Bentley software, including StormCAD + Texas PE and CFM required **Preferred Qualifications** None **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
