**Job Summary** The Dallas Transit Planning Group is actively seeking a creative, highly talented **Transit Planner** for immediate employment in the Dallas office\. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in transit planning\. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Working with Planning Team on challenging and complex transportation planning projects in Texas and the Nation, as appropriate
+ Conducting technical analysis and uphold technical standards with the delivery of transit planning projects
+ Assisting with delivering of transit plans and environmental documentation on assigned projects
+ Providing support in public involvement activities associated with projects
+ Assisting with marketing pursuits of planning projects
+ Providing appropriate support to other AECOM teams in delivery of satisfactory outcomes to the client
+ Supporting and developing planning studies and reports for new and updated plans, programs, and regulations
+ Collecting a variety of statistical data to prepare reports and maps on topics, such as, census information, land use, and transportation
+ Interpreting and apply appropriate federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and codes to specific projects
+ Working cooperatively with project staff and clients
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelor’s in Urban and Regional Planning, geography, or related area of study
+ 3\+ years of experience
+ Knowledge of principles and practices of planning, research, and data collection
+ Knowledge of standard statistical procedures
+ Knowledge of relevant planning areas, such as, transportation, land use, and environmental science
+ Knowledge of pertinent federal, state, local laws, codes and regulations as they apply to transportation
+ Analytical skills to interpret research data for reports and apply mathematical techniques in practical situations
+ Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal relationship, and presentation skills
+ Ability to work well under pressure and understand the importance of meeting critical deadlines
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office products, Internet Applications, and understanding of Geographic Information System \(GIS\)
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Master’s Degree Preferred
