Job Responsibilities/Duties
Provide overall leadership and management of the WRPS industrial safety, industrial hygiene, and fire protection programs, staff and related issues. Direct field implementation of programs using a graded approach and rigorous assessments process. Direct the preparation and maintenance of industrial safety, industrial hygiene and fire protection programs, standards, procedures and policies to support the safe and healthy work environment at the TOC.
Manage the programmatic worker safety and health staff and management team, which includes the industrial hygiene manager, industrial safety manager, and data/records lead.
Provide clear and concise day to day direction to staff/managers, manage the worker safety and health deliverable schedule including POMC, provides effective communication to the staff/managers, provide clear expectations of the schedule and deliverables, remove obstacles to allow the deliverables to be achieved.
Required Qualifications
BA/BS in Industrial Hygiene/Safety, engineering, or related technical field plus 15 or more years of related industrial safety, industrial hygiene and/or fire protection experience. Five years or more of related management experience.
Desired Qualifications
MS in Industrial Hygiene/Safety, engineering or related technical field preferred.
Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred.
