Our building engineering specialists have expertise in structural and building services engineering, fire engineering, acoustics, facades and seismic design\. We embed sustainability principles in every design\. **Job Summary** The Buildings \+ Places division of AECOM is actively seeking an energetic Construction Administration Assistant with at least three years of experience working in a construction administration/document control support role in the architectural/engineering or construction industry\. This position is ideal for someone who truly enjoys working on unique projects, multitasking and interacting with people\. This individual must be detail\-oriented and flexible with the ability to work both on a team and independently\. The successful candidate must work well in a fast\-paced environment, be able to multi\-task, set priorities, be a self\-starter, get things done accurately and on time; and foster a positive relationship with the clients, project team members and contractors\. The successful candidate will work on a current IDIQ project with other AECOM and client staff working from the client’s office within the Northern Virginia and Washington, DC metro area\. The project duration is anticipated for two years with potential for additional project assignments beyond the two years\. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: + Document Control – Responsible for processing all incoming/outgoing \(classified and unclassified\) documentation and dissemination to appropriate team members for further action\. \(i\.e\., Construction Submittals, RFIs, FDCs, Supplemental Instructions, O&M Manuals, RFPs, Contract Letters, Non\-Conformance Notices, Pay Requests, Safety Concerns and other construction management related documentation\.\) + All documents are handled and stored electronically, except for the project’s final deliverables + Troubleshoot issues related to the documents being processed and project related issues + Maintain logs to track the project status + Provide project status updates relating to Construction Submittals, O&M Manuals, RFIs, NCRs and other construction administration reports as requested + Maintain redline drawings and specifications for the Owner’s team + Attend Contractor Progress and Quality Control Meetings, both in office and on construction sites as needed + Ability to follow guidelines supplied by Client in relation to project security + Will be required to work overtime as needed \(or directed\) to support project demands + May on occasion be required to work outside of normal working hours \(or a weekend\) to support unique project demands **Minimum Requirements** + 3\+ years of Construction Administration \(CA\) experience and Document Control management + Proficient in MS Office Suite Professional, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint + Familiar with editing and bookmarking documents within Adobe Acrobat + Must be thorough, well organized, and effectively manage time + Must be flexible and able to work in a very fast paced work environment and at times under the pressure of meeting critical deadlines + High level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential; able to prioritize multiple tasks + Excellent verbal and written communication skills + Must be able to read, write and understand the English language + Must have a valid driver's license + Must be a U\.S\. Citizen + Must have and maintain a DoD TS Clearance\.
