**Job Summary** AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented **Geotechnical Engineer** for immediate employment for the Salt Lake City, Utah office\. The successful candidate will work in the Engineering Group of AECOM, the position involves working as part of a team on a wide range of projects for a diverse client portfolio, as well as performing independent analysis and design under the guidance of senior engineers\. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects\.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Attend client and staff meetings
+ Provide technical analyses
+ Prepare and review proposal writing
+ Assist in professional activities and business development
+ Conduct field exploration
+ Will assist with data development and analysis
+ Provide recommendations for design and construction
+ Interact with civil, structural, mining, water, environmental, transportation, energy and construction departments within AECOM
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or appropriate discipline
+ 2\+ years of relevant experience in design investigation and analysis of geotechnical civil engineering and underground construction and trenchless pipeline design
+ Knowledge of pipeline design and construction including HDD, micro\-tunneling and ground treatments for a wide variety of pipeline materials and product media
+ Experience using geotechnical software
+ Ability to interpret design drawings, produce comprehensive and accurate written reports
+ Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
