**Job Summary** AECOM’s Wilmington, NC office is actively seeking a Senior Civil Engineer – Site Development to join our team\!
This position offers an immediate leadership role in our Wilmington Civil group, with nearly unlimited potential for future advancement\. You will have the opportunity to work on high\-profile and challenging projects both locally and throughout the Carolinas\.
The successful candidate will actively participate in the execution of municipal and government infrastructure and civil engineering projects, as well as water/wastewater distribution projects and civil/site land development projects\. Will also provide technical and design services in support of infrastructure projects, evaluate requirements and prepare bids and proposals, conduct preliminary evaluations, produce design drawings, prepare technical specifications, prepare permit submittals, provide bid services and construction monitoring, mentor and direct project staff\. This diverse and challenging array of projects will involve coordination and collaboration with AECOM offices throughout the Carolinas and beyond\.
**Minimum Requirements** • Minimum BS in civil engineering or equivalent engineering degree
• 5\+ years of direct and progressive experience in civil engineering and site design
• Registered NC PE required prior to employment, or provide evidence of ability to obtain within 3 months of hire via comity from registration in another state
• Must be able to evaluate requirements and prepare bids and proposals, conduct preliminary evaluations, produce design drawings, prepare technical specifications, prepare permit submittals, and assist in providing bid services and construction monitoring
• Demonstrated experience in obtaining required construction permits, including one or more of the following; sedimentation and erosion control, coastal stormwater, and water/wastewater
• Proficient with computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite and Civil 3D
• Must be able to work with and effectively coordinate staff in multiple office locations
• Effective time\-management, written communication skills, analytical, and interpersonal skills
• Knowledgeable in specific requirements affecting coastal communities in NC and SC
• Position will require successful completion of criminal background check in order to obtain contractor clearance for federal facilities and to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card \(TWIC\)
