**About the Business Line** **Environment**
Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources\.
**Job Summary** AECOM is currently supporting the US Government with Environmental Response Teams in Afghanistan\. This is an USACE task order with personnel deployed at Bagram, Kandahar, and other US Military installations\. Services provided under this Task Order include response to Environmental Issues facing US Military, including solid waste recycling, responding to fuel spills, and providing Subject Matter Expertise and other specialized support for various Environmental Corrective Actions in theatre\. This position is contingent on award of new contract with anticipated start date on or around August 2015\.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
+ This is a deployed position assigned in Afghanistan
+ Assemble and disassemble incineration equipment
+ Operation of incineration equipment
+ Various other duties to support environmental team
+ Austere living conditions and travel from primary base of operations to Forward Operating Locations is required
**Minimum Requirements**
+ High School Diploma or equivalent
+ 3\+ years of experience in the operation, repair, and training for various incineration systems, as well as the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment
+ Must be able to live and work in an austere environments under harsh working conditions
+ Must be fluent in English and have strong verbal and writing communication skills
+ Must be able to receive a security clearance, if required for position
+ OSHA 40\-Hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response \(HAZWOPER\) certification
+ 8\-Hour Hazardous Waste Supervisor Certification or able to obtain
+ 8\-Hour Permit Required Confined Space or able to obtain
+ Must be physically and mentally fit for duty in Afghanistan
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Previous OCONUS experience
