More information on AECOM and its services can be found at www\.aecom\.com\. **About the Business Line** **Water** We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design\-build\. **Job Summary** The core function of this position will be to work with a team of engineers and geographic information specialists on flood hazard identification studies\.The successful candidate willperform engineering tasks requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria\. The engineering department manager or senior level staff will screen assignments and provide guidance in techniques and procedures to be applied\. Assignments will be given by both the department manager as well as project managers\. This is a great opportunity for students and recent graduates seeking summer or fall term internships working on a major national flood hazard program\. **Minimum Requirements** + Must be pursuing an engineering degree and have completed at least one undergraduate or graduate level course in hydrology + Understanding of Hydrologic and Hydraulic processes + Ability to read and interpret technical reports, maps, and aerial imagery **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience working with StreamStats + Familiar with geographic information systems \(GIS\) software + Familiar with AutoCAD + Familiar with HEC\-RAS **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
