If you are looking for an opportunity to make a difference, join the AECOM team! We are currently seeking an experienced Application Manager. This position can report to one of our offices located either in Germantown, MD or Austin, TX or the candidate may telework. This will be determined based on the right candidate. Purpose and Scope: This individual will perform as the Application Manager for the MS Group CostPoint System including Functional Business analysis, interface development and management, document system processes, run standard processing schedules, manage vendor support and maintenance of systems, manage technical installation of systems. Essential Responsibilities include: * Maintain the machine hardware and software on which the finance and accounting application software resides. * Maintain all application software in use by the finance and accounting departments. * Coordinate with vendors for version upgrades and perform and install upgrades to soft- ware when releases are available. * Integrate multiple application software and test applications for software changes. * Maintain liaison with outside hardware and software vendors for system upgrades and maintenance. * Prepare software requirements, design, code, or documentation. * Develop plans for detailed analysis of computer program code, documentation, and output to insure validity, consistency, and conformance to applicable standards. * Design and execute computer program test cases, analyze output for validity, and prepare written reports documenting results. * Supervise, train and evaluate programming staff. * Participate in reviews of current status of application programs and prepare recommendations for system improvements and/or replacements. * Maintain and establish a filing system for tracking and inventory control of finance hardware and software vendors for system upgrades and maintenance. * Comply with hardware and software systems standards and procedures. * Provide informal training in implementing software programs based on user requirements. * Program for deficiencies in application software as well as ad hoc reporting. * Assist in organization and participate in accounting related IT projects. * Provide support in the development of technical proposal and provide input on the technical content and level of effort of the proposed scope of work * Perform evaluations in the development, design, implementation, and maintenance of complex programs or systems. * Provide technical management and leadership to financial group for a given project, contract or job with overall responsibility for cost, schedule, technical and employee performance. * Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
