**About the Business Line** **Water**
We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design\-build\.
**Job Summary** AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Senior Design Engineer to join our Water Group to lead water, waste water and industrial water projects for public and private clients\. Some of our current projects include: water/wastewater treatment plants, pumps stations and pipeline facilities for all levels of governments and private developments\. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects\.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
+ Work on proposals, make presentations, design documents, and delivery in a design/build environment for municipal owners
+ Preparation of technical design documents for water related projects
+ Undertake project technical/quality reviews and attend design reviews for projects
+ Contribute to group initiatives with respect to technical development/market sectors and processes
+ Project management, and the preparation of bid proposals and additional fee proposals
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
+ 13\+ years' experience in water/waste water engineering, with 3\+ years in a supervisory role
+ Experience in the design of pipelines, pump stations and treatment plants
+ Experience in the Alternate Delivery of projects
+ Experience in managing all aspects of Project Implementation from planning and analyses to final design and construction support
+ Proven capability to work with and lead a wide variety of individuals, and have the skills and abilities necessary to work with other engineers, designers, and technical and support staff
+ Proven experience in understanding financial management of large complex design and design\-build projects
+ General municipal water/waste water design experience
+ Ability to lead multi\-disciplinary design teams on water/wastewater projects and work with contractors on fast track projects
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Registration as a California Professional Engineer \(civil\) a plus
+ Master's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering preferred
