**Job Summary**
Aecom seeks to hire a Senior Mechanical Engineer for a major mixed use development project in Qatar\. The incumbent will coordinate with other engineering departments to manage the contractors’ work, ensuring progress of work as per project plan and manage client expectations\.
Duties & Responsibilities
+ Technical lead of MEP teams, from concept design through to construction issue and site supervision\.
+ Setting standards for mechanical design\.
+ Ensuring that all design teams follow the required standards\.
+ Leading and supervising design of electrical services\.
+ Supervising and manage the preparation of design calculations\.
+ Supervising design according to local rules, regulations and design guides\.
+ Supervising design to British, American and/or International design standards as required by the project\.
+ Preparing technical specifications and reports\.
+ Supervising engineers and CAD operators in all project relatedmatters\.
+ Responsible for QA and the checking of all design work carried out prior to formal issue\.
+ Coordinating with Architects, Structural Engineers and other MEP disciplines\.
**Minimum Requirements**
+ 10 years of experience including GCC/Qatar experience in essential\.
+ The ideal candidate will have worked on leisure, hotel and residential projects\.
**Preferred Qualifications** Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering\.
