The successful candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years wheel or track vehicle repair experience, preferably MRAP or Technical Inspection (TI) experience. Must be able to lift and carry items weighing 40 to 45 pounds. Requires the ability to bend, stoop, crawl, climb and stand. Must have a valid a driver’s license. Must be able to successfully pass and maintain Security Clearance and have a valid driver’s license. *This position requires a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.* Must be able to successfully pass a National Agency Check (NAC) within 60 days of hire and have a valid Texas driver’s license. “Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English” Must be available for any shift. Willing to work weekends and other hours as needed. Please note: Work on this contract is performed at the Red River Army Depot. Job Description: The Motor Vehicle Mechanic inspector provides quality control inspection as well as performs work in the occupational. Essential Responsibilities: 1. Position involves inspection of various repairs, rebuilds, or overhauls major assemblies of internal combustion automobiles, buses, trucks, machinery, maintenance, or tractors. 2. Performs work and provide guidance involving most of the following: Diagnosing the source of trouble and determining the extent of repairs required; replacing worn or broken parts. 3. Must be able to perform all duties of a Motor Vehicle Mechanic. 4. Perform additional duties as required by position. Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested. Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands: Work is performed in a variety of settings including an office environment, warehouse and outside with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting 20-45 pounds, keeling, standing walking routinely sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communications, constant mental alertness, must be able to work under deadlines.
