Our global network of top\-tier specialists delivers comprehensive services over the full life cycle of a project to benefit clients in government and private industries\. **Job Summary** The Safety coordinator will serve as a liaison between the OSQARM and MTA’s Metro MOW Department by performing the following duties: + Review of current departmental work SOPs and recommend changes as well as identify additional SOPs needed for development and assist in development / implementation + Review and audit of job practices to ensure proper work procedures are being followed as well as to address the safety issues raised by employees on the job site + Review of record keeping and documentation \- This could include auditing the Maximo system to ensure maintenance and defects are properly recorded and followed through to completion + Review departmental training and offer suggestions to the training department to improve the quality of training the workers receive + Offer suggestions to staff as they develop the track inspection assessment and participate in preparing a plan for corrective measures + Assess the Department’s equipment for serviceability \- Recommend items for replacement or acquisition\. + Provide assistance with issues related to Metro equipment maintenance such as: + Maintenance procedures and job plans + Equipment overhaul procedures / processes + Equipment performance history + Maintenance shop facilities / equipment evaluations, relocations, and procedures + Record keeping practices + Preventive maintenance procedures / practices + Evaluate the history of maintenance campaigns + Inspection procedures / practices to monitor proper maintenance of MTA rail vehicles MTA's Maximo system, which tracks repair and maintenance activities, will be used as the primary analytical tool in monitoring the effectiveness of maintenance practices\. **Minimum Requirements** + Education: High school diploma + 10\+ years of experience + Knowledge/Experience: Transit safety related safety experience + Technical Skills: System Safety Program Plan & Emergency Preparedness Plan + Certificates: Transportation Safety Institute certificate **Preferred Qualifications** None **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
